My journey with healing began long before I discovered the work I do today.
I've always been fascinated by natural healing and the body's ability to heal. In my early twenties, I studied massage therapy and went on to learn aromatherapy, reflexology, orthobionomy and trigger point therapy.
My life has taken me through many different experiences and careers. I studied beauty therapy, ran my own business for many years, and worked in numerous roles from sales to hospitality, including managing a four-star international restaurant in Cairns.
But one thing connected all of these experiences — people. People love to talk, and I love to listen. Over the years, I began noticing how often people repeated the same behaviours while hoping for different outcomes, without addressing what was happening underneath.
I understood that struggle personally.
I lived with severe depression for many years and received support from psychologists and counsellors. For a time, I also turned to alcohol, as my father had, to hide the depression and cover how I was truly feeling.
Although therapy helped me, I still didn't feel whole. I was afraid to speak up, be brave and truly live the life I wanted.
Then I was introduced to a different way of working with ourselves.
The difference it made was greater than I could have imagined. I began to understand myself differently, recognise the patterns influencing my life and learn that I could respond to life differently.
I introduced Kelvin to this work, and together we saw the possibilities of what we could create.
That is where Conscious Embrace began.
We believe you don't need to become someone else. You can understand yourself more deeply, develop compassion for yourself, learn new tools and discover how to navigate life differently.
You don't need to become someone else.
You deserve the freedom to be fully yourself.

Our Story
Conscious Embrace is about creating a safe space for people to reconnect with themselves, release what no longer serves them, and move forward with greater freedom and self-understanding.
My journey has taken me through many different experiences, some challenging and some unexpected.
I spent 30 years working as a tyre fitter and wheel aligner, including five years as a trade-qualified mechanic. I am also a father of six adult children. Life hasn't always been easy, and there were periods when I struggled with depression while navigating difficult relationships and circumstances around my children.
I also struggled with an addiction to heavy drugs for a number of years. One morning I decided enough was enough. I stopped cold turkey and haven't touched them since. I've now been clean for around ten years.
These experiences taught me a lot about resilience, change and the importance of having someone who will listen without judgement.
My journey into this work began through my interest in the paranormal. What started with ghost tours eventually led me to sound healing, where I learned to work with Tibetan singing bowls and tuning forks. I later explored medicine drums and other experiences, but it was a couples retreat that became the turning point for me.
I had wanted to do this work but was still unsure and afraid. The retreat gave me the confidence to take that final step.
The changes in me were noticed by the people around me. I became more positive and changed the way I looked at myself, my relationships and life.
Meeting Leeola also showed me what a truly loving partnership could be. Together, we realised that our different strengths could complement each other and allow us to help others in a greater way.
That became the foundation for Conscious Embrace.
When someone works with me, I want them to feel peace, calm and safe — knowing they can talk openly without judgement and without fear of what they share being held against them.
I've experienced what it feels like to be stuck, and I've experienced what it feels like when something finally changes.
I know change is possible because I've lived it.
